The atom is the smallest part of the universe and cannot be divided into a smaller part of it. In the nucleus are protons, which are positive particles with a relatively large mass. A molecule consists of two or more types of atoms. Some atoms exist only in the form of molecules, which are groups combined together, such as oxygen molecule (O2) and hydrogen molecule (H2). There are compounds in the form of molecules such as water molecules (H2O) and carbon dioxide molecules (CO2) and others.
Because of the small size of atoms and the difficulty of dealing with it, a term has been developed that expresses a specific amount of atoms, for example, and called (the mole), which is the number (Avogadro) of the material, and this article may be atoms, ions or molecules. The value of the Avogadro number is 6.022 * 10 23 and is obtained by mass carbon atoms (12) where they can be accurately measured.
